FAQ

How do LilyBee Wraps work?
People are often delighted by how well our wraps work. Simply use the warmth of your hands to seal the wraps around sandwiches, half avocados, cheese, bowls, and anything else you can think of.

How do LilyBee Bags work?
It's easy to use the LilyBee Sandwich & Snack Bags! Simply insert the food and close down the flap. LilyBee sticks to itself creating a seal using the warmth of your hands.

What are the wraps and bags made from?
Our reusable wraps and bags are made from 100% cotton with a natural solution of beeswax, tree resin, and coconut oil. So much nicer than plastic!

How do I clean my LilyBee Wrap and/ or Bag?

Wipe down or rinse with cool water after every use, with a little eco detergent.   Rinse well and air dry on a dish rack or hang in the shade, then roll up to store in a jar or lay flat in a drawer. Keep away from all heat including direct sunlight, hot water, the dishwasher and microwave!

How long do they last? Are they reusable?

All our products are reusable. With proper care our wraps will last you a whole year or more! Once they reach the end of their life,
pop them in your home compost.Think of how much plastic you'll save!

How do I store them?

We keep our LilyBee Wraps in our utensils drawer and also have some rolled in a jar for easy access in the kitchen.

Can I refresh my wraps when they get old?
You can refresh and pasteurize your wraps by putting them in the oven on low temperatures for about five minutes. (We recommend a baking sheet with wax paper then the wrap on top to avoid getting wax on your tray and oven).

What can I put in my LilyBee Bag?

You can use your Snack & Sandwich Bags to store all types of food from snacks and sandwiches to dog treats and baby food! We even have some people using them to store things like picture hooks and nails! Use them in exactly the same way you would use a ziploc bag - just with none of the guilt!

Are my LilyBee Snack & Sandwich Bags waterproof?
All the LilyBee Bags are waterproof due to our secret LilyBee recipe. This makes the bags perfect for holding foods such as currys or pasta and sauce. Just make sure you seal the flap properly, and we don't recommend turning the bags upside down if they are filled with liquid.

Will my food taste like honey?

Our wraps don't alter the taste of foods, however, when initially receiving the product you will be able to smell a very subtle beeswax aroma. Over time the smell of beeswax will diminish - much to our customers' disappointment!

What are the dimensions of the wraps?

We offer the following sizes:

XL: 42x42cm (best for bread and cheese)

Large: 33x33cm (great for sandwiches and wraps)

Medium: 26x33cm (use for smaller sandwiches and baking)

Small: 18x22cm (perfect for little baking bites)

How long does it take for a package to be delivered?
We try to use the fastest delivery service possible so you can receive your  wraps as soon as possible! Once sent, it takes 1-3 business days for the parcels to be delivered in New Zealand and up to 3 weeks for international deliveries. We generally send our parcels within 3 working days.

What is your returns policy?
We offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order. Please check our policy here for more info.

Do you use plastic packaging?
Our packaging is 100% plastic free! LilyBee packaging is made of kraft paper and sometimes we use jute twine. We also send parcels in brown paper envelopes or boxes - all recyclable - and our R3pack courier envelopes are made from corn starch and are home and commercially compostable.

Can I use my wrap with raw meat?
For hygienic reasons we don’t recommend using LilyBee Wraps for raw meat, as the wraps cannot be washed with hot water. However all our wraps contain beeswax  and tree resin which are  naturally antibacterial, and coconut oil which is naturally antifungal.

Can I microwave food in LilyBee Wraps?
You cannot put the wraps in the microwave as the heat melts the wax solution and will change the consistency of the wrap.

Can I eat my wrap?
We recommend eating the food inside the wrap, not the wrap itself.

Are they suitable for tropical climate (35+ degrees)?
We have customers around the world in warm temperatures who have not had issues with the wraps. We recommend storing them in a dark, cool place or even in the fridge on really hot days. The thing to be wary of is leaving the wrap in a bag in the direct sunlight! This can cause it to melt and get sticky.
